Description:Spinel is another gem that comes in a great range of colors. Most people are familiar with the Ruby Spinels, but a large percentage of Spinels out there are not red. This stone is an attractive, very slightly included, pink color, "Oval" cut gemstone. Please note that the stone has more of a lilac hue in the photos than it does in person. This gem has a very attractive color, and pink stones are some of the most popular of all Spinels. It is difficult to find superb quality Spinels, because of political upheaval (and now natural disaster) in southeast Asia. It appears that these stones will soon be very very hard to come across and the days of the good Spinels may be dwindling.
