Description:Spinel is another gem that comes in a great range of colors. Most people are familiar with the Ruby Spinels, but a large percentage of Spinels out there are not red. This stone is an attractive, good size, virtually eye clean, blue Spinel gem with a "Round Step" cut. This gem has a very attractive color, and blue is not a terribly common color for Spinel. It is difficult to find superb quality Spinels these days because of political upheaval in southeast Asia. It appears that these stones will soon be very very hard to come across and the days of the good Spinels may be dwindling.
