Description:Kornerupine is a rather rare stone, which is not often seen in rich colors (usually only brown or yellow). This stone is a very rare, attractive, light bluish-lilac color gem. This material is actually pleochroic showing a very light blue green one direction and a purplish blue in another direction, but in a stone this small, it is somewhat difficult to see the change of colors. This material is not as common as one might think and this gem doesn't get much credit because it usually occurs in such somber colors.
