Description:This is an unusual piece, consisting of a circular slice through a stalactite of cobaltian calcite. I have never seen one, but this piece and its brethren from the same slicing. Apparently it was found some time ago. It came to me from the Eric Asselborn collection in 2006 and then I sold it to Charlotte Sussman who (until now) kept a collection of Morocco miniatures and small cab specimens. This is the best of the slices I got, and makes for a somewhat unique item in a Morocco suite or a calcite suite in particular. 55 grams. Note the brilliant neon color when backlit! I have seen no other for comparable valuations, but I can say I paid $1000 for this to buy it back recently
