Description:A HUGE creedite plate from the recent finds of 2008-2009 from this classic locality, which has really produced the best large specimens of the species in most people's minds. Sadly, the mine is now closed after a disaster and near loss of life. The level in which these were mined up until early 2009 is now sealed, and the adit plugged with rubble. It is unlikely they can justify the expense to go after more. Meanwhile, I DID buy up much of the pocket which was recovered just before this collapse and have a few large plates such as this, that it would be a shame to break into smaller specimens for resale. This piece is COMPLETE ON BOTH SIDES, and nearly all around as well, with just two small contacted edges. It is a beautiful peachy-orange color, in person. Significant for the species, I think these finds will be regarded someday quite highly. NOTE LARGE SIZE - it nearly fills a standard mineral flat!
