Description:This 1600-gram, HUGE display piece is a gorgeous , intense red color. The quartz crystals are richly and uniformaly included by diffuse hematite, to yield this color. However, usually the effect is not so intense, nor even. And on a big plate like this, it is almost unheard of to get one in such pristine condition (which this is). other than the bottom periphery edge, 99% of other crystals here are complete and sharp, with no dings or broken points. The top crystal is about an inch tall an caps the piece nicely. I have seen comparable quality small pieces, but one this size is extremely uncommon ...and stunning on a shelf! ex Charlie Key collection
