Description:A classic and rich Olinghouse gold specimen, which features large gold leaves AND unusual elongated wires (spinel twinned crystals). The leaves reach 3 mm! This piece is richly covered with scintillating leaves, spinel-twinned gold crystals and the famous Olinghouse gold wires. The gold is etched out of the cream-colored calcite, that fills the vugs in the porphyritic host rock. THis is a large and showy specimen from finds of nearly 9 years ago now. Valued highly, at the time, they have only gone up and I have seen them turn up at shows now for 10 times the old prices paid when they came out. Valued $1500
