Description:A UNIQUE and LARGE specimen, we found at a show last year. Sparkly, iridescent, pyrite microcrystals are peppered on the starkly contrasting, sculptural cluster of iron oxide-coated, upright, barite blades - on this striking LARGE CABINET specimen from the El Hammam Mine of Morocco. The barite blades rest on a matrix of massive, crystalline fluorite. Barite is VERY RARE from El Hammam, so this is a unique piece for size and species, at this locality. And in any case, its beautiful! I have not seen another like it in any size. Valued $1000-1200. 6.6 pounds or 3.0 kilos.
