Description:An amazing pyrite concretion from a NEW Chinese find. This striking, slightly flattened, oval ball of parallel bands of sparkly pyrite microcrystals on shale looks like a handwoven basket or clay pot with a very intricate, stylized pattern on the "lid". A unique and very showy specimen! Our Chinese source was able to come up with one more flat of this highly desirable and very unusual material. This is one of the larger pieces in the lot.
