Description:A 14.5 cm, glassy, water-clear to milky quartz crystal is the focal point of this stunning, CABINET, quartz specimen from a recent find at the famous Messina Mine of South Africa. I really like the way the two angled, secondary, quartz crystals flank the primary quartz. Sides of the larger crystals are preferentially frosted with iron oxides and coated with starkly contrasting, green chlorite blades giving a very distinctive look. The central crystal is complete all-around and pristine, and a bit of edgewear to the secondary crystals is a very minimal detraction to this dramatic, larger piece. Valued at $600-800.
