Description:The recent discovery of these highly etched but completely terminated spessartine garnets created quite a splash, and you can see why. The sculptural aesthetics, lustre and clarity are superb, which are complemented by the lovely wine-red color. It is safe to say these have become very sought-after, and this is an excellent example of this recent find. It is even better in person. The stepped patterns on this particular piece are amazing! The backlit photo really highlights the beautiful wine-red color saturation and gemmyness. This fine piece displays beautifully from either side. This super floater is essentially pristine. A very high quality spessartine from this find. 8 grams.
