Item Description

A RARE and outstanding combination from famous San Benito County. Splendent, sharp, magnetite octahedrons and glassy, translucent dolomite rhombs are very aesthetically scattered on the sawed serpentine matrix plate richly sprinkled with tiny sparkly gem chrome-green clinochlore crystals. The large magnetite octo 1.1 cm on the diagonal and the large dolomite rhomb is 1.5 cm on the diagonal. Superlative and rare combination material from the Kay Robertson Collection # 13020. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). A MUST for the locality or species collector. Valued at $1000+ for combination rarity and very high quality.
