Item Description

A really cute OLD-TIME Himalaya Mine tourmaline and lepidolite combination from the Kay Robertson Collection # 1810. The bi-colored gemmy trigonal tourmaline has the classic "Himalaya pink" body. The strange and uneven upper green layer is capped by the striking and unusual myriad of tiny "cityscape" terminations. The 2.2 cm cluster of beautiful lilac, sharp, layered, lustrous and translucent lepidolite crystals with a few cleavelandite plates is a super accent. Complete all-around and essentialy pristine. The back of the tourmaline termination is contacted, but there appears to be little, if any damage. This is an extremely fine and adorable old-time 360-degree Himalaya combination. The low # 1810 collection number indicates a 1950s or early 1960s acquistion date. The crystal GLOWS, when backlit.
