Item Description

An outstanding large and sharp fluorapophyllite crystal with a surprise from this famous Mexican mine. The very glassy, translucent, textbook tetragonal crystal has pleasing pastel-pink color and an impressive multitude of jagged mountain range-like terminations. The cute corsage off to the side is a super accent. The striking SURPRISE on the back is the cluster of sparkly, bronzy marcasite casts after sharp calcite rhombs! Totally unexpected! This is a very large and superb example from the early 2000s finds. RARE in this size and quality, especially with the casts on the back.
