Item Description

A dramatic, large, bi-colored, skewed fluorite octahedron with stunning cubic stepped-growth faces from the 2007 finds at the less well-known Xiefang Mine. The very glassy, gemmy cubes are lush mint-green or colorless and have frosted, waxy luster faces. The coloress cubes at the apex and toe of the piece add sculptural pizzazz. Essentially pristine, this outstanding large 360-degree fluorite has only a trivial bit of basal perphery wear on the steep end, which has negligible impact on the very high quality of the specimen. This is a very uncommon and striking style of fluorite from the find and locale. The mint-green GLOWS, when backlit. Rich purple fluorescence. Valued at $1500-1750 for rare style, quality and size.
