Tourmaline & Cleavelandite on Microcline

Gemmy and lustrous, olive-green tourmalines, to 2.0 cm, are aesthetically set on the sculptural and exotic looking matrix on this showy and unusual combination from the famous Himalaya Mine. The matrix is a strangely etched euhedral microcline crystal and the rosette of pearlescent cleavelandite blades next to the tourmalines is a nice accent. Classic and unusual older combination material from the H.R. McBroom Collection. His label says the Mesa Verde District of California, which doesn't exist. It's the Mesa Grande District.
