Bright, brick-red, hematite, preferentially coats faces on this striking, doubly terminated quartz scepter from Namibia. It appears that the larger crystal grew on the smaller of the gemmy, transparent to translucent crystals. A modest bit of contacting and bruising is noted, but certainly nothing to detraction. A facinating, 360-degree piece, that can be displayed from either direction, thus changing it from a scepter to a reverse scepter! Ex Charlie Key dealer stock.
