Item Description

Chrysocolla is RARE from this less well-known Pennsylvania copper producing area. A 2.2 cm nodule and crusts of blue-green chrysocolla with minor green malachite are aesthetically scattered on the sculptural, hefty, 3-dimensional matrix of native copper. Most native copper specimens from here are generally sheet-like and consist mainly of hackly to subhedral copper. This striking piece has RARE cute dense nests of herringbone patterned spinel-twinned copper crystals across the front. Doubly rare and excellent combination copper from a recent find. Hefty at 753 grams mass.
