Impressive opposing clusters of large parallel-growth vivianite crystals form a sculptural and large specimen from this well-known Minas Gerais pegmatite. The blocky diamond or wedge-shaped crystals are highly lustrous. Most faces appear black, but some have beautiful blue-green color and thinner blades have gorgeous gemmy color. The front is pristine. A striking and fine bonus on the back is sparkly microcrystalline pyrite and a large platy quartz section. Wonderful combination specimens of this size and color came out in about 2005. Valued by the former dealer at $850. It is worth more today. This excellent piece has two super display views.
