Dramatic and colorful "corsages" of intergrown curved, saddle-shaped dolomite rhombs are replaced with orange cadmium-rich smithsonite on this impressive and sculptural large specimen from this famous locale. The modest bruising reveals the bone-white dolomite or smithsonite not fully cadmian, beneath the smithsonite. Sparkly drusy quartz covers the masssive quartz matrix. The sawed base really enhances the presentation of this classic, aesthetic and excellent large example from the Rush Creek District. There is an old price tag of $400 on the bottom of the piece.
