Item Description

A really cool and sculptural diverging pair of elongated, crude spinel-twinned copper crystals from the famous Central Mine. One limb is dramatically curved, while the other is straight, adding pizzazz to this artistic small cabinet. It has 360-degree presence. The copper was probably dissolved out of the basalt matrix to bring out the rich copper luster. The Central Mine closed in 1898, but the dumps still produce fine specimens periodically. Classic and excellent Central Mine copper in this size and form.
