Large polished Malachite "eyes"

Fantastic banded malachite "eyes" dramatically stare out from the sawed and polished face of this impressive large globuar specimen from the famous copper mines of Katanga. The form of the "eyes" are surreal and mesmerizing. The bottom has been sawed and polished to show more of the rich color and banded "eyes". This is dense, very fine older carving grade malachite from 1970s and 80s finds. 11 more 5 mm slabs of about the same size could be cut from this striking large malachite. 1543 grams or 3.4 pounds mass.
