Azurite is RARE from this well-known Arizona open pit and underground Cu-Mo-Au-Ag-Pb-Zn-PGE (Rhenium) mine. An strikingly sculptural and aesthetic miniature pseudomorph of malachite after sharp azurite blades, which are in turn, coated with multi-hued chrysocolla is EXTREMELY RARE. The impressive large crystal is doubly terminated and is complete all-around. Nearly pristine, the one small spot of edge wear reveals the malachite beneath the chrysocolla, that has replaced the azurite. A very choice and RARE pseudomorph from the Chris Cowan Collection. Value for such a rarity??? A MUST for the pseudomorph, species or Arizona collector!
