Item Description

PLEASE NOTE: This piece came labeled as coming from "Langefeld, Erzgebirge, Germany", but I can't find a listing for this locality. With that said, the piece hosts beautiful, sharp, very well-defined, classic, eye-catching "fourling" twins of the rare zeolite species Harmotome measuring up to 8 mm sitting on matrix. There are many crystals on the piece, and I can't find any damage of note with the naked eye. Perhaps somebody can help us out with the locality information. It's a fine example of the material, regardless of where it's from and certainly a very worthwhile addition to any zeolite suite or a collection of German minerals. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#2070) with a few other old German hand-written labels. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
