Item Description

A VERY RARE (Ross Lillie's note) combination specimen from the famous Minerva Mine. Glassy, translucent clusters of gray-white strontianite crystals, to 2.3 cm, are jauntily set and scattered on the mounded matrix of snow-white celestine lathes. Minerva Mine strontianites are usually associated with fluorite, barite or calcite. The strontianite fluoresces bright white! Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 0762 and recovered in advance mining in November, 1994 from the northeast face.
