Aquamarine w/ Albite, Muscovite & Schorl (Paul Otto Coll.)

Item Description

Pretty powder-blue color highlights this 7.7 cm partially doubly terminated matrix aqumarine crystal from the Shigar Valley. The glassy and lustrous crystal has a gemmy termination with the rest of the crystal being gemmy/tranlsucent. The matrix includes albite, stacked pearlescent muscovite plates and the unusual outer rind of a toumaline crystal. The large aqua is complete all-around and is essentially pristine. A showy and excellent specimen from the Paul Otto Collection.
