Item Description

Gormanite is a rare phosphate found in veins of phosphatic iron stones. Most crystals are small and are usually associated with the Yukon, Canada Type Localities - Rapid Creek and Big Fish River. This exceptional and aesthetic miniature consists of killer sprays of rich green, acicular crystals. The contacted and undamaged back side really accentuates the color, luster and striking sculptural form of the sprays. Seldom on the market in this two-sided quality from Linopolis and came from the limited 2001 find. Comes with a Carlos Barbosa label, who imported much of this material. Valued at $400 for high quality.
