These Vietnamese Aquas are some of the richest blue gem quality Beryls you will see from any locality. The started coming out around a decade ago, and the limited supply has kept them from becoming abundant on the market, but they are certainly sought after by collectors. The combination of rich color (even in smaller sized crystals), great luster and wonderful internal gemminess puts them amongst the finest quality Aquamarine crystals in the world in my opinion. This beautiful thumbnail specimen is a sharp, rather lustrous, very well-formed, GEM QUALITY, rich blue colored hexagonal prism. One of the best aspects of the piece is the fact that it's not etched at all, which is uncommon for the material. It has very smooth faces, and really looks good in person.
