Item Description

Fine crystallized Stellerites are only found in a handful of world localities, and to find one in a specimen such as this is notably rare on a worldwide scale. The quality of this particular Stellerite is nearly as good as the species gets. It comprises a fantastic spherical / radiating aggregate comprising very sharp and highly "wet" / lustrous, translucent prismatic colored crystals sitting on matrix. The "ball" measures 3.7 cm across. I have to stress it has top luster with a smooth creamy beige color and is undamaged. One does not encounter Stellerites like this from any locality, and the quality leaves nothing to be desired. If you are a Zeolite collector, or simply enjoy outstanding large specimens of minerals that are seldom seen in such quality, do not miss out on this attractive piece. Hard to illustrate the quality in the photos, better in person. Ex John Arnaud collection, valued at $800.
