Item Description

A beautiful, sharp, scalenohedral, gemmy Calcite crystal is aesthetically set on matrix from a discovery in 2009. The crystal is semi-lustrous and elegant in form with an attractive stepped termination. The piece has minor iron oxide inclusions creating a slight orange-pink hue in areas. Only a tiny "rub" near the termination of the main crystal which measures 4.0 cm. A showy and aesthetic display specimen of this find, where the locality in Hubei Province was not divulged for some time. Valued at $500.
