Item Description

Some of the most aesthetic and displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This piece does not disappoint with a predominant, very lustrous, GEMMY, beautiful yellow color, sphere-shaped radiating aggregate measuring 1.2 cm across with a few additional Wavellites on GEM quality Quartz crystals on matrix. The main Wavellite group is totally undamaged and very attractive. One rarely finds such fine quality (very gemmy and lustrous) Wavellites on matrix like this from Siglo XX, and this piece is actually from old mining, dating back to the 1970s. Ex Brian Kosnar collection.
