Item Description
The name Serpentine is applied to a group of minerals and is not a valid species, and I don't know if this gem is Antigorite or another species, so I'm leaving it at Serpentine. The material is rare, and to find a bigger stone with such great gemminess is really impressive. The stone is slightly included and has a rich green color with a slightly "misty" interior. The gem has a "Marquise Cabochon" cut and is one of the better stones of this material that I have had to offer from Tanzania. You don't see a lot of these on the market as they are fairly new, and came to us direct from the source. A great bargain at the mere $50 start bid, as the stone is nearly two inches across!
