Description:Highlighted by two splayed crystals, to 2.5 cm across, this outstanding French pyromorphite has good luster with a rich and classic mustard color. These came out in finds predatig the famous green pyromorphite from the locale, probably in the 1960s or early 1970s but maybe even earlier. One of the two large crystals exhibits superb hopper growth while the other is doubly terminated more traditionally. Smaller pyro crystals frame the specimen at the base, like a flower. Without question this is one of the nicest Les Farges pyros I have seen recently. It is from the collction of LA-based carpenter and collector John Ydren, circa 1960s-1970s.
