Description:Deeply amethystine purple spinel crystals , to 2 cm in length, dramatically shooting up from marble matrix on this well-trimmed specimen. The color and textural differences between the spinel crystals and the matrix makes for a beautiful contrast and, I might add, a fine specimen. This is a gemmy and lustrous cluster of RARE - purplish-red, gemmy crystals. The color is REMARKABLE. Valued at $2000-3000 or perhaps more. It is really quite fine enough for any advanced collection.
