Rutile included in Quartz (ex Rolando Gioia Collection)

Item Description

A group of VERY gemmy, colorless prismatic Quartz crystals play host to thin, striated, dark, blackish-red colored Rutile "needles" which are both included with and protruding out of the Quartz crystals. It's a very three-dimensional specimen with good aesthetics and excellent quality. Minor nicks keep it from being 100% perfect, and it's incomplete near the base, but overall it's very showy and eye-catching. Perhaps my favorite part of the specimen is the fact that there is a small Quartz crystal which is piercing through the top of the main Quartz, making it a doubly-included specimen (Quartz & Rutile within Quartz).
