Item Description

This is a superb specimen featuring a rare phosphate from a world-famous locality. Zanazziite is a hydrated calcium magnesium iron aluminum beryllium phosphate, and some of the finest examples are found in Brazil. This piece hosts olive-green radial groups of the rare phosphate Zanazziite which are associated with brownish crystals of Eosphorite sitting a few, very gemmy, colorless scepter habit Quartz crystals with etched white Albite on the back. The largest Zanazziite "ball" measures 3 mm across, and the piece looks beautiful up close. From the collection of Rolando Gioia (a contributor to new definitive book on Brazilian minerals: "Minerais e Pedras Preciosas do Brasil").
