Item Description

A classic specimen of the famous Alexandrites from Carnaiba featuring a 1.8 cm "sixling" (more accurately a "trilling") twin with a deep blue-green color when strongly lit that is sitting on typical schist matrix. The "arms" are well-developed, and this is a complete and undamaged crystal. There is a secondary crystal on the piece as well, but it's a simple prism and not a twin. The piece only shows a very slight color change, from a blue-green to a purple-blue hue, but the change is there nonetheless. These are classics from Brazil, and hard to find on the market these days.
