Item Description

From a find many years ago at the Cruzeiro Mine, this is not your typical Tourmaline from Braizl. The most important aspect of Tourmaline is that it's found in virtually every color of the rainbow, but arguably the rarest color for these crystals is a true yellow hue. This piece features a few colors ranging from a RARE yellow color on the pyramidal termination which grades into a soft pink tone, then transitions into an odd silvery band, which eventually gives way to a rich green hue througout the rest of the crystal. The piece is very lustrous and showy, but the most important aspect is the hard to find YELLOW color in the termination. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. I honestly don't know if I can remember seeing a yellow Tourmaline from the Cruzeiro Mine before this one. Weight on the specimen is 28.42 grams. Valued at $1800.
