Item Description

A great secondary ore association specimen from the famous Campbell Shaft in Bisbee. Very sharp, good sized, well-formed, metallic cuboctahedral crystals of deep blood red Cuprite are associated with native Copper on matrix. The Cuprites may appear a silvery-black hue on the exterior, but when they're backlit, they glow with classic intense color that is associated with the species. This association is not common from the Campbell Shaft, and even though I've seen a handful of good Coppers, this might be one of the best CUPRITE specimens I've seen from this particular part of Bisbee. The majority of the Cuprites are undamaged and measure up to 1.0 cm, which is very good sized for Bisbee. Great quality all around, and if you collect secondary ore minerals, Arizona minerals, or copper species, don't miss out on this showy and historic display specimen. Priced at $2200 in the inventory. The piece comes with a FREE custom lucite display base.
