Item Description

A beautiful display specimen of sharp, lustrous, rich electric, blue micro crystals of the hydrated copper sulfate, Langite on matrix from this VERY historic locality. This well-known and sought after species has been around for over 150 years, as it was named in 1864 after Victor von Lang of Vienna, Austria. The Banska Bystrica Region has recently produced some new and exciting Langite specimens, and they are very popular among collectors due to their enchanting color. This piece was collected a few years ago, and the color truly catches your eye from across the room. A great opportunity to obtain a near cabinet sized display specimen of this hard to find and colorful rare copper mineral. Valued at $800 retail.
