Item Description

A very hard to find specimen of Zircon from the little known La Panchita Mine. This is the only specimen of this material that we've had to offer and features a predominant, sharp, well-formed, blocky, modified deep reddish-brown crystal of Zircon on matrix. I have only seen one other example of Zircon from this locality, and this piece we're offering is the ONLY matrix specimen that I know of. Leave it to Miguel to come up with something as interesting and rare from Mexico as this attractive display specimen. If you collect Mexican minerals or worldwide Zircons, you can't afford to miss out on this piece, as I'm sure very little was found, and was mined around 40 years ago. From the collection of Senator / Dr. Miguel Romero of Teuhuacan, Mexico (Collection #4120).
