Aegirine (big crystals) with Microcline

Some of the world's finest Aegirine crystals are found at Mount Malosa. This particular piece features large, superb, sharp, HIGHLY lustrous, deep greenish-black prismatic crystals of Aegirine with associated prismatic, silvery-white colored Microcline. For a Pyroxene, you can't ask for much sharper or lustrous crystals. They have truly "wet" luster, and for the size, this is about as fine as the quality gets for the species. The main crystal is in very good shape, and the smaller sidecar crystal at the base of the specimen is actually recrystallized. Valued at $1,500 for the size and quality.
