Inesite from this extinct manganese mine is a desirable California classic. Aesthetic sprays of pretty pink blades rest on the sculptural etched calcite matrix. The dark oxidized blades add drama to this excellent old piece. The calcite has moderate pink fluoresence. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 6439 and acquired from the Lidstrom's in Ventura in 1971. This fine OLD-TIME piece is from the very first find in 1971! Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record). This cutie has several fine display views and is an outstanding combination example. A MUST for the species or locality collector.
