Item Description

A fine sculptural floater aggregate of botryoidal chalcedony from a surprising 2016 find in Indonesia. The translucent spheres have pretty lilac color. Purple is an uncommon color in the mineral world. One thinks of amethyst, fluorite, apatite, spodumene and a few other species. This artistic piece resembles a whale with an uplifted tail or a rendering of the form of the United States. Pristine, except for a few bruised spheres on the periphery. Showy and excellent material from the find. Ex Paul Otto Collection.
