Description:A very rare and showy accesory specimen from the famous Red Cloud Mine. Large, sharp, moderately lustrous and partially corroded, brown, hematite-included calcite rhombs to 2.5 cm comprise this blocky specimen. The piece displays well from many angles. Not pretty to look at, but this is a must for the renowned locality or species collector. We have certainly never seen a calcite of this magnitude from the mine! Ex Schlichter Collection.
