Description:A very aesthetic, flag-shaped specimen of dense spinel-twinned silver crystals in the classic herringbone pattern from Batopilas. Batopilas is renowned for this silver form and this is a fine one. The acanthite coating and bit of calcite matrix add character. The acanthite indicates, that this is an old-time piece, certainly prior to World War II and possibly much older. Ex Harvard University and George Elling Collections.
