Item Description

Pyrite is extremely rare from this famous "Alpine-type" cleft deposit in Pakistan. Leave it to intrepid Himalaya dealer and collector Herb Obodda to have a perhaps unique example in his personal collection. A 2.5 cm, lustrous, stepped-growth, brassy-bronzy, pyrite crystal is aesthetically attached to one side of a snow-white mound of sharp, albite variety pericline crystals. Prominently jutting out at one end is a 3.3 cm flattened spearpoint of glassy, colorless calcite rhombs or flattened disks. This is very rare and uncommon combination material in this aesthetic quality. Ex Obodda Collection # 1939.
