Item Description

A rarely seen specimen of beautiful reddish-brown colored, sharp, very lustrous, gemmy crystals of Heulandite measuring up to 1.3 cm from the lesser known locality at Pato Branco, Parana, Brazil. This piece might be the only specimen of this rare material that we've ever had to offer in the auctions. Great quality all around, and very attractive up close. The label states that the piece is associated with Mordenite, but I don't see it. If you collect worldwide zeolites, don't miss out on this oddly colorful display specimen of this well-known species from this lesser known locality. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12862). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
