Gorgeous cherry-red color on this shapely intergrown miniature pair of gem rhodochrosite scalenohedrons from the renowned late 1970s finds at the N'Chwaning 1 Mine. The color, luster and glassiness is top notch on this piece. Both crystals have gently cleaved terminations. Contacts on the sides, where other crystals once lay, have minimal bruising and are certainly acceptable in the context of this beautiful, richly colored and highly representative gem example of the famous find and locale.
