Description:Matrix Riemvasmaak fluorite specimens of this aesthetic quality are few and far between. This dramatic large plate is highlighted by the striking, 4.0 cm, doubly terminated, intergrown, fluorite octahedron flanked by the jauntily angled, glassy quartz crystals to 3.5 cm. The fluorites have the gemmy and lustrous, unique grass-green color, unique to this find. The prism faces of the quartz crystals have a nifty second generation of quartz microcrystals. A couple of more fluorite octos on the back are a nice accent. The fluorites and ALL of the primary quartz crystals are pristine on this outstanding 360-degree combination specimen. This very fine piece has dramatic quality and these are contemporary classics. Valued at $2000-2250. Get a good one, before they all disappear!
